Living a lie.
Aya is 15 years old. This is the year where she should be in her first year of high school. But she has had a history of sometimes going to school and sometimes not going to school, lives in a home that is full to the ceiling with garbage, has no father, and can't remember when she last ate. Her mother never does anything, and her younger brother, Uncle Koji, comes around to play. This is the story of Aya and friends, in the season where outside, the cicadas have stopped making noise. Bang!
