Notes
The six of them meet to pay a visit to the grave of their friend. The death was caused by the earthquake. Five are friends from high school and one is a younger colleague from the deceased’s company. They start talking freely at their favorite place, and start walking forward for one’s own sake, and for their friend’s sake.
PR Point
This short film on youth focuses on the stories and human drama of the people left behind in the aftermath of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake—and how each person faces the future with renewed vigor with the memories of their loved ones in their heart.
With all of Japan’s 47 prefectures submitting their creative pieces in this year’s Okinawa International Film Festival, it is only fitting that the film of Director Ryuichi Hiroki who produced many masterpieces in the film industry is presented as the finale of the festival. The star-studded Hiroki Squad both cast and staff worked mainly in Yamagata City of Yamagata Prefecture for this film.
