Profile
Reo Anzai Professor of Fine Arts from Saga UniversitySpecializes in pop culture research such as manga, anime and games, and special video research. Advanced pictorial expression = Comic art research.
Also engaged in research into toys and toy confectionary, and released the "20th Century Manga Artist Collection" of toy confectionary in 2000 in collaboration with Furuta Confectionery. This was a social sales phenomenon selling more than 6 million copies. The gekimation video in 2013, "The Burning Buddha Man" (Director: Ujicha) won the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award of Excellence at the 17th Japan Media Arts Festival. He also received the Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival Special Jury Award for "Violence Voyager" in 2019. Anzai was officially invited to the 11th Okinawa International Movie Festival and received high praise from film festivals around the world.
